Welcome to Ecole FLAM Jersey, a not-for-profit organisation established in February 2011 in Jersey, and part of a network of over 58 FLAM schools across the UK.
Our mission is to provide French language and cultural education to French and binational children aged 4 to 16, helping them stay connected to their heritage and language while living in Jersey.
The FLAM programme (Français Langue Maternelle) is designed specifically for children whose parents are residents of Jersey and who attend local English-speaking schools. This extra-curricular programme allows children to practice and enhance their French language skills. For our younger students (aged 4 to 5), classes focus mainly on spoken French, while older children have the opportunity to improve both their spoken and written French, including reading in French.
Currently, Ecole FLAM Jersey serves over 50 pupils, divided into 10 classes. Each class runs for one hour (or 45 minutes for younger children), taking place on Saturday mornings at the Alliance Française, located at 5 Library Place, St Helier.
We are proud to have an exclusive partnership with the Alliance Française, and our qualified teachers from Alliance Française ensure high-quality education for all students.
In addition to our classes, we offer access to a well-stocked library with over 2,000 references, including books, DVDs, and magazines. These resources can be borrowed directly from the library or reserved online:
