What is the French Eisteddfod?

The French Eisteddfod is an annual festival where children perform poems, readings, songs, or their own creative work in front of an audience. It’s a supportive event designed to help young people gain confidence and enjoy speaking French.

When and where does it take place?

Dates of the festival are 9-12 March 2026 but sessions for native/fluent speakers are expected to take place on Thursday 12 March from 4pm. The exact time will be confirmed once all registrations have been received by the organisers.

Will Ecole FLAM sign my children up?

Ecole FLAM Jersey warmly encourage participation but it is entirely optional. Registration must be completed by parents, who are also responsible for bringing their child on the day of their performance.
